Waiting on Wednesday #7

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.
I'm so sorry I've been absent. This new semester is really kicking my butt already, so if I don't post, that's why. I'm working on it though!

Unbreak My Heart
by Melissa Walker
Release date: May 22, 2012.
This book sounds amazing. I can't wait to get my hands on it. The title is basically a Toni Braxton song. Also, the main character's name is Clementine. How awesome is that? I love names that are different, not normally seen in books and her name just makes it all that more appealing to me. The book is about a girl, Clementine, who falls in love with her best friend's boyfriend. Okay, sounds familiar lately, right? But Melissa takes it further and sees Clementine get her heart broken by two people that she loves. What else can she do but travel along a river in a tiny boat? It sounds emotionally draining but something that I can't wait to sink my teeth into, because, in the end, it seems like Clem will be happy, which is what we want for all characters we love.

Okay, guys, what are you waiting for?

Waiting on Wednesday #6

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.
I know I'm late, and I'm sorry. I was sick yesterday, but since I'm feeling better, I figured I should do this!
Enshadowed
by Kelly Kreagh
Release date: August 28, 2012
The sequel to Nevermore, many people have been waiting for this for already over a year, including me! The first was hard to get into, but once you're into it, you won't be able to stop. I just can't wait for this one to come out. I must know what happens and it's taking waaaaay too long to be released. It's torture!

What book are you waiting for this week?

Waiting on Wednesday #5

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine!
Because I got frustrated last Wednesday because I hadn't realized Chrome would delete everything I wrote after I published it, I'm going to feature two books that I am incredibly excited for!
Something Like Normal by Trish Doller
Release date: June 19, 2012
This is a 2012 debut, so obviously I'm going to at least try to read as many of those as possible. There's something about this specific book, though. It's not the cover. I do love it, but it's not the best I've ever seen. The premise is what caught me. A Marine's return from Afghanistan, accompanied with PTSD, Travis needs to learn to leave the war behind and deal with his life at home, which isn't something that sounds too fun. Then Harper comes along, a girl who hates Trevor for spreading rumors in middle school. You know that's not going to be the end of them. Just look at the cover. I don't know! There's just something about this that has me so intrigued. I just absolutely cannot wait to read this book.

 Never Enough by Denise Jaden
Release date: July 10, 2012
I honestly can't tell you much about this book. This is Denise Jaden's second book. If anyone did the Contemps challenge this past year, you'll recognize her name, as she was one of the authors. Losing Faith was a novel she wrote for Nanowrimo I think in 2010? Or 2009. Either way, she wrote the first draft in a month and it was an incredible debut. If you haven't read it yet, you should check it out. Goodreads hasn't listed a description, and neither has Amazon, so the only thing I've heard about is from Ms. Jaden, and that is that it literally changed her life. I can't wait for this one. As a matter of fact, I've already pre-ordered it. If you go to Amazon, they're having a buy 4 for 3 promotion and this is one of them. I looked through so many books yesterday to find some, so I ordered about twelve books last night alone. There are a few debuts with the promotion, so you should explore!

So, what do you want this Wednesday?

Waiting on Wednesday #4

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.
Someone Else's Life by Katie Dale
Release Date: February 2, 2012
I know that this book is coming out fairly soon, but it sounds like something I'm absolutely going to love, so I had to feature it before it was too late! This is a 2012 debut about a girl who finds out that her life might not be exactly what she thinks it is. After her mother dies, Rosie finds out that her mother is not her real mother. Angry and lost, Rosie goes in search of her birth mother with an ex-boyfriend. Seems like a road trip book to me! Also, with her ex-boyfriend. Hmmm, they might be getting rid of that ex there soon. Also, as always, there's the beautiful cover. You know I'll be going out to B&N as soon as this comes out.

Waiting on Wednesday #3

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. And this week I'm nineteen minutes early!

Crazy by Amy Reed
Release Date: June 6, 2012
I have read both of Amy's other books and enjoyed them thoroughly. Her books evoke emotion that makes the characters seem incredibly real. Her characters are all dealing with some huge problem, whether it be drugs or abuse, or any of the other troubles they're forced to face. Always beautiful writing, Crazy is one of my most wanted of 2012. Also, I just realized that all of her titles are only one word. I think that definitely helps, because it keeps the question of 'what is this about' alive? This one, by the way, seems to be about mental disorders. I believe the one the character is facing is bi-polar.

What book can you not wait to put on your shelf?

Waiting on Wednesday #2

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine.
I know it's super late right now but it's my first day off for Thanksgiving. I'm finally home and my school issues are now simply floating away on a cloud. I spent the day in my pajamas, sleeping, even after going to bed super early last night, reading, and cuddling my cat. Could life get any better?
Second Chance Summer by Morgan Maston
Release date: May 8, 2012
One of the most amazing debuts I've ever read was Amy and Roger's Epic Detour. I can't begin to explain how much I absolutely adored that book, so you can bet I'm excited for this one. It comes out a week after my birthday, so hopefully someone will have gotten me a Barnes and Noble gift card like last year. It also takes place in the Poconos, which is in Pennsylvania. Actually, my uncle lives there. Also, really, the cover is just beautiful.

What book are you dying to read?
